The Best of What's Around: Striking a Balance

April 4, 2009  |  What's New Here

2345764421_ab03038f64 Every week, I point you toward interesting, funny, bizarre, and generally wonderful reading.

This week has been full of fun things – I don’t know about anyone else, but my inbox has been full of articles about balance: balancing post frequency on blogs, balancing life and work, balancing work and hobbies, balancing anonymity with personality, and all kinds of other things. In an age of ever-increasing opportunities both positive and negative, there’s clearly a new-found need to balance all the inputs and output in our lives.

Here are a few of the most interesting things I’ve read this week:

BusinessWeek – “Smashing the Clock

Skelliewag – “How to Develop an Efficient Post Frequency

Problogger – “Advice for Part Time Bloggers Juggling Blogging with Work, Family, and Other Commitments” (I swear, the title really is THAT long)

The BridgeMaker – “How to Live a Balanced Life

Write to Done – “The Naked Writer

TechCrunch – “Is Twitter Turning Into MySpace?

WebWorkerDaily – “Coworking 101: a Brief History

Twitip – “So I’m Having a Twitter Diet

Matthew Cornell – “Extreme GTD: How Low Can You Go (or: Can We 80-20 GTD?)

What’ve you read, watched, or done this week that was interesting? Share it in the comments.
