  • Right now, I mostly just use my browser when visiting Twitter on the desktop. 90% of my Twitter usage is actually on my iPhone, so I've kept my Following count down so that it is manageable. I did try out Seismic Desktop, and found it cumbersome, and also tried out using Digsby to integrate Twitter and Facebook. That works OK, but I still mostly use my browser. I also have a gmail gadget so that I can access Twitter from within my Google apps email account.

  • I remember that! Ridiculous what some people think is okay to do to users. What do you use on the desktop for Twitter? I love TweetDeck, just because it syncs my columns with the desktop client.
  • I agree completely, actually. I've used them all, and the only ones that stayed installed on my particular iPhone were Tweetie and TweetDeck. Love 'em both.
  • Man, there are SO many of these apps! There might have to be a Round 2, or 3, or who knows??
  • What about iTwitter? I'm using/liking it very much.

My favorite iPhone Twitter apps in order are:
Tweetie, Tweetdeck, SimplyTweet, Twittelator Pro, Twitterfon Pro
  • I am back to using Twitterfon. A while back, and update to the free version made it almost unusable, as it placed an ad that got in the way of scrolling, causing you to click the ad unintentionally. They've eliminated that, and gone back to displaying the ad only at the top of the window, visible after you scroll through all the tweets. I've also used Twitterrific and TweetDeck, but I'm a pretty basic user, so I appreciate Twitterfon's speed and how clean it is.
