    Work Smart: How to Power Through a Mountain of Email

    I just took a week and a half off of work (and real life in general) to graduate college – coming back to hundreds upon hundreds of email was daunting. If I’d seen these tips from the fantastic Gina Trapani sooner, I might’ve avoided the meltdowns, fetal-position crying, and other non-work-appropriate activities that made up my first day back.

    My favorite of her tips (click through for the transcript of the whole video):

    Sort your messages by the “subject” column. Select all the kitten forwards, mailing list threads, and long conversations with logs of back and forth that don’t matter anymore. Delete them.
